As a medical doctor who
specializes in treating the ear, I am constantly reading the latest studies and
exploring new technologies and treatments that are aimed at ear ailments. I
also run across interesting sites that are ear-related. My blog is a way of
sharing these tidbits not only with my patients, but anyone who is interested
in ears, hearing, or noteworthy medical news that is worth passing along. Check

informative. If there is anything I have learned in my 12 years in practice,
it’s the fact that nearly everyone eventually has an ear
problem.

 

For now, I’d like to pass along a resource to
parents of young children. Ear infections can be a serious—and
recurring–problem in infants and toddlers. The National Institutes of Health
have produced some very good tutorials, especially on otitis media (or middle
ear infections). This one is a good interactive primer on causes, symptoms and
