At Shohet Ear Associates, the health and well-being of our patients and staff is our number one priority.  During this unusual time, we would like to share with you the steps we are taking to proactively protect your safety while also providing assistance for those in need.

Due to the recent escalation in preventative measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, our offices are currently closed. Our phone lines are open however  we are NOT seeing patients at our offices unless it is an urgent medical condition.

Assistance with Hearing Aids

For patients with hearing aids, we know that communication with family members and loved ones is especially important right now and we want to do everything we can to ensure that you are hearing properly. That is why we are offering our patients with hearing aids, a remote hearing aid service while still keeping in compliance with the CDC on social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

There are two remote options to choose from for help with your hearing aids:

Phone or Video Appointment

Gina Patzkowski, Au.D., CCC-A

If you would like to set up a remote one-on-one video or phone consultation with one of our Audiologists, please call our office to schedule an appointment.

Drop Off & Repair Service

If your hearing aid(s) need service or repair, you can call our office to arrange a time to drop off your hearing aid(s) and one of our Audiologists will service it in house or if necessary, send it to the manufacturer for repair.
If you choose to drop off your hearing aid(s) at one of our locations (Newport Beach or Seal Beach) you will be asked to follow our health and safety procedures:
  1. Call our office to schedule a time when you can drop off your hearing aid(s).
  2. When you arrive in the parking lot, again call our office to let us know you have arrived and a hearing aid drop box will be placed outside the front door for you to put your hearing aid(s) in.
  3. Please fill out the service repair form that you’ll find in the drop box and then return to your car.
  4. We ask that you wait in your car for a few minutes while we check your hearing aid(s) and then we will call you with the status.
  5. If we are not able to service the hearing aid(s) in house, we will send it to the manufacturer for repair and call you when it returns for pickup.
